Project #18: Skiing at Le Massif

Filed under: collaboration, friends, photography, silliness, travel by ramune

I am later than usual this week because I was skiing north of Quebec City at Le Massif! I had a fantastic time with my sister, brother, his girlfriend and my brother’s two friends. We skied for four days and for the most part the weather was nice (by nice I mean really cold but sunny with a great view). Here are a few photos from the trip. You can see more here.

I have had this fish in my mind for a bit. Not much to explain, just a fish.

Project #16: Ice

Last night we had an ice “storm” that covered everything in a nice slick sheet of, you guessed it, ice. This morning I went out while it was raining and took a bundle of photos that you can see on my Flickr site. Here are a few of my favorites.

Project #15: Paper Me

Filed under: favorites, paper, self-portrait by ramune

This past week I have been quite busy working on my resume and my website. Although working on my resume has involved creativity, I doubt anyone wants to see it (unless you are looking to hire me . . . wink wink, nudge nudge, know what I mean). If you do want to see it, it will be up on my portfolio site once it is all polished up.

Back to this week’s creative project! Ever since I saw the paper dolls at Readymech, I have wanted to create my own. After spending some time trying to come up with a character, I decided to do a self portrait of sorts. I have included some photos as well as a pdf so you can print out and build your own little me (if you really want a small boxy version of me staring at you). Unfortunately my printer is not that great and colors tend to look better on screen, so the colors are a bit off in the constructed version. Also, I won’t be offended if you cut my thumbs off, they can be a bit of a pain to cut around.

The pattern to be printed, cut out and assembled.

The constructed version.

Me and my boxy smaller self.
