Project #1: Pumpkins!
Recently I was inspired to start this blog as a way of forcing myself to be creative at least once a week. I found a bunch of my old sketchbooks the other day and realized it’s been a while since I sat down and drew something I liked. It’s easy to get wrapped up in things, as I have in the past couple of years, and then realize that I haven’t done much in terms of creative projects. Most of the past my time has been spent on work and photography has been my only real creative outlet. From this day on I am going to post one creative project a week. It can be anything from drawing, sewing, baking, photographing, sculpting, making macaroni art . . . you get the point.
I hope to keep this blog interesting and I plan to occasionally have collaborators. If for some reason I slack off, feel free to pester me in the comments. Also if you have any feedback or ideas for projects, you can also leave them in the comments.
My first project was completed on Sunday, October 28th, however I didn’t quite have the blog up and running yet, so I am posting this a bit late. David came over and we carved pumpkins for Halloween! My pumpkin was especially thick and a bit hard to carve into at times, but I think it came out alright.

Too scary!
love love love the pumpkin!
that’s an awful lot of pumpkin pie. Is that next week’s project?
